Quality Development Advisor – Early Years Educational Effectiveness Team
This full‑time, permanent position offers a starting salary of £41,585 per annum based on a 36‑hour working week. The role is hybrid, supporting early years providers across Surrey, with remote work and flexible office use.

Make a real difference to children’s lives in Surrey. In this role you will shape the future of early years provision across the county, ensuring every child – especially the most vulnerable – receives the best possible start.
Your key responsibilities
Provide advice and practical support to early years providersDesign and deliver engaging training programmes for the sectorUse data to monitor impact and continuously improve outcomes for childrenBuild strong partnerships with providers, local teams and external agenciesContribute to Surrey’s Best Start in Life Strategy and national quality improvement principlesQualifications and experience
Full, relevant Early Years degree (or QTS) as defined by the Department for EducationWorking knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted framework and quality improvement systemsUnderstanding of the ‘Surrey Best Start Strategy’ and the Early Years National Quality Improvement PrinciplesSignificant experience across the Early Years (0‑5 age) rangeStrong analytical skills and ability to present data clearly to diverse audiencesProven experience designing and delivering trainingLeadership experience and ability to influence othersCommitment to inclusive practice and improving outcomes for vulnerable childrenAdditional requirements
Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across Surrey.
