Our client’s is a leader in the hospitality & well-being space. With their strategic partners, they operate large-scale resorts around the world.
These resorts collectively welcome over 3 million guests annually. They are currently looking for a Project Manager based in downtown Toronto.
Your new role
Our client is seeking a full-time Project Manager who will be responsible for all pre-construction work on a notable project in Toronto.
This position will start in the pre-construction phase but will eventually lead to a site-based construction role as the project progresses.
You will bring together designers, consultants and construction partners to deliver on the preconstruction strategy and help deliver the project onsite.
Acting as the main liaison between construction partners and the organization, you will be responsible for the pre-construction, developing robust procurement proposals, schedules, sequencing, and methodology strategies.
Your role will support all pre-construction and construction activities through developing a PLAA strategy with project stakeholders.
You will ensure robust risk management is adopted, as well as the identification of potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure quality, timely and cost-effective delivery, and maintenance of positive relationships at all levels.
What you'll need to succeed
As the Project Manager, you will have an educational background in construction / engineering / architecture with 5+ years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, managing the pre-construction & construction of complex projects (ideally healthcare, hospitality, transit or education projects), ideally with a General Contractor.
An in-depth understanding of design and PLAA management is important, as well as a well-rounded understanding of the full project cycle and how design & procurement impact the schedule.
It is critical you have experience with local planning & permitting proposals, as well as working knowledge of health, safety, OBC, CDM, and environmental legislation.
This role is based in downtown Toronto, however the willingness to travel within Canada and internationally once per quarter is required .
What you'll get in return
The compensation package is commensurate with experience but includes a competitive salary, commiserate with experience between $130k-$160k + 15% bonus, 4 weeks' vacation + paid sick / personal days, extended health and dental benefits, RRSP , monthly cell phone & travel coverage.
