Job description

Our client is a supplier of processing and packaging food equipment and they are looking for a territory manager who knows the food industry to continue their growth in Quebec. You have previous experience in the field and knowledge of the kind of customer base. The sales rep must be able to sell capital equipment and show an ROI to clients. Territory : Montreal, East end and Quebec City

Work Place : Home Office

Products / Services : Processing and packaging food equipment

Salary : Base $85,000 -$95,000

Commissions / Bonus : $60,000- $90,000 annually (paid monthly)

Car allowance : $800 per month + $0.26 / km

Expenses reimbursement : All expenses reimbursed

Other Benefits : Full benefits paid by company which include health, dental and profit sharing

Functions :

Managed existing base of customer (about 125 customers)

Call on prospective clients in your territory

Keep track of current and future client projects

Build funnel through cold calls, networking and industry events

Keep a healthy funnel as per company directives

Keep abreast of industry best practices and trends

Facilitate and negotiate contract terms

Help to facilitate product samples and deliveries

Work with field service teams to ensure 100% customer satisfaction

Requirements :

Development vs Maintenance : 40% vs 60%

Road vs Office : 70% vs 30%

Languages : French and English

Education : College degree or equivalent experience required

Training : On the job training but must come from the industry

Overnight Travel : Less than 20% overnight

Years’ of experience : 5 years'+ industry experience required

Other requirements : Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task

Transferable contacts : Knows the food industry and has deep contacts within

Transferable Knowledge : Has direct experience selling capital equipment
