Description
The Operations Analyst is responsible for evaluating GS1 Canada I&V operation and identifying and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency and address operational challenges. This role involves immersing in a world of data and insights, with a strong focus on identifying patterns and drawing actionable conclusions. The Operations Analyst will gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to develop business strategies that drive measurable results.
The incumbent will evaluate capacity, quality, velocity, team performance, and consumer behavior, using their analytical expertise to guide the organization toward success in a fast- paced production studio environment. Key metrics for this role include image quality, subscriber satisfaction, productivity levels, and team feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting large operational datasets, formulating reports and providing recommendations to improve efficiency of I&V operations;
- Perform analysis of a variety of operational datasets to measure performance, identify trends, and discover optimization opportunities;
- Understand the workflow of the studio to ensure that deadlines are met, and workload meets predefined quality standards based on daily or weekly priorities;
- Support our transformation projects, leading process re-design initiatives including preparing related documentation and developing necessary training and job aids;
- Support the development of a full set of KPIs and metrics to help manage, control, and create efficiencies in ongoing subscriber services and operations;
- Develop and lead the employee training plans and maintain employee skill matrix;
- Lead the development of reporting formats and automated processes to improve the maintenance of KPI monitoring systems;
- Support the development of innovative ways of mining operational data to help drive insights and identify areas of opportunity within the I&V operation;
- Support data integrity through report generation and analysis from various internal databases as required (i.e., Service Request, IVSM, ECCnet Industry Managed Solutions, etc.);
- Conduct regular data audits and necessary maintenance activities;
- Responsible for the asset management program;
- Review and update the work instructions to validate cycle time and conformity to quality standards;
- Prepare monthly vendor scorecards & management financial reporting (Cost Recovery).
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field;5+ years of relevant experience;Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive process improvements and operational decisions;Proven track record of effectively communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and work effectively;Exposure to MSSQL database and familiarity with SQL programs would be considered an asset;Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols;Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;Resourceful and creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to addressing challenges;Excellent communication skills, including oral and written in French (required, level 3+) and English (asset, level 2+);Entrepreneurial spirit suited for a growing & results-based environment requiring flexibility to ever-changing needs.GS1 Canada is committed to helping all employees, customers, stakeholders and subscribers in an effective and timely manner by preventing and removing barriers for persons with disabilities.
