Introduction
Manitoba Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures is seeking a qualified individual to join the regional fisheries management and administrative teams in the Gimli Regional Office. Duties : Reporting to the Regional Fisheries Manager, the Regional Fisheries Clerk is responsible for administering the overall commercial fish licencing and production record keeping system for the Central Region. This responsibility includes considerable data entry and analysis, file maintenance, distribution of licences, reconciliation of quotas and licences and responding to requests from the public / resource users including approximately 1, Manitoba commercial fishers. The position requires considerable judgment, knowledge and responsible decision making in carrying out the specialized assignment of issuing commercial licenses, coordinating quota transfers and managing production / trade records in relation to the requirements of The Fisheries Act of Manitoba and associated commercial fishing regulations.
