Position Overview
As an Equipment Operator in our Production Team, it will be your responsibility to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment, optimizing operations.
Support the daily operations by way of clearing system faults (technical or operational), identify areas of improvement, and monitor material workflow using system reports and dialogs.
Responsibilities :
- Report product and equipment issues at assigned areas
- Clear machine faults in a timely and efficient manner
- Work together with team members to ensure equipment faults are rectified
- Complete reports for damaged cases, and other general order picking machine issues
- Learn and understand system widgets for reporting purposes
- Return all products and cases outside of automation to designated areas
- Regularly sweep floors, remove dust from and underneath equipment and panels
- Monitor system performance and operational status
- Escalate repetitive faults
- Manipulate and drive system equipment as per system order message
- Provide feedback and updates on system performance
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Specific technical education is an asset
- Training in entry level electromechanics an asset
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Familiarity working with Microsoft office
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 30 meters
- Must be able to work days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Ability to travel for training if required

Qualifications :
No specific technical education required but preferred
Minimum High School Diploma with a noted preference for a post-secondary trades certificate notably in automation or maintenance / mechanical / electrical / electronics related fields
Knowledge / Experience Required :
Technically and mechanically inclined
Practical attitude and ability to learn new tasks, concepts and procedures
PC skills in a windows environment
Must be able to work at heights exceeding 20 meters
Must be able to work days, evenings and nights and weekends (After ramp up begins, preferred shifts will be assigned based on hire date)
Ability to travel if required for training
Training in entry level electromechanics an asset
