Position Status : Temporary Full-Time (12-month contract)

Description of the Position :
The Associate, Digital and Social Community is responsible for maintaining SickKids Foundation’s six primary social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok).
They will lead community management, provide frontline donor communication by monitoring and responding to issues on paid and organic campaigns, and report on post-performance.
They will also have the opportunity to help develop organic content, maintain an editorial calendar and engage with our online community of families, supporters and donors.
This role reports to the Manager, Content Strategist & Social Media.
You will : Community Management
Community Management
Monitor SickKids Foundation social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube), building community, engaging with audiences, review and respond to comments and messages, while flagging potential issues with the Public Relations team as required
Find new and exciting ways to engage with existing and potential online and in person communities or events to drive awareness, conversation and affinity for the SickKids Foundation brand
Source user-generated content by flagging and identifying potential SickKids Foundation ambassadors, influencers, trends and conversations
Analytics
Create and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, campaign-specific and annual reports to track social performance against pre-determined KPIs
Provide analysis, insights and content recommendations based on analytics and social performance to optimize engagement, growth and reach
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies and key platform changes to optimize social performance
Content Creation
Help with creation and execution of content and editorial calendars
Collaborate with teams and social leads across SickKids Foundation and the Hospital to align messaging, share information and create engaging content
Use copywriting and creative skills to conceptualize and develop impactful thumb-stopping social media content (both visually and editorially)
Find creative ways to incorporate and create content that reflects the Foundation’s values and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion priorities and programs
Required Skills
Qualifications :
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role :
3+ years experience monitoring and maintaining social media communities, preferably on a national level with multiple stakeholders involved
Experience working with prominent national brands and / or a well-known charity will be considered an asset
Degree or diploma in Social / Digital Media Marketing, Marketing, Communications / Public Relations, or Journalism
Deep understanding of social media best practices, and social media channels including : Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube
Proven experience integrating social media into support for larger business objectives
Knowledge and experience using analytics and social listening software such as Sprout Social, Google Analytics, and in-platform tools
Experience monitoring and supporting paid social campaigns
Ability to balance competing deadlines with strong organizational and project management skills; managing multiple internal and external requests simultaneously
A natural storyteller with excellent writing skills and knowledge of Canadian Press Style
Photography and videography skills, including editing, will be considered an asset
Ability to conceptualize stories based on trends, real-time events, and one-off asks
Ability to handle sensitive patient information and stories
Ability to attend events outside of business hours including weekends and holidays
Monitor social media accounts outside of normal business hours

Total Compensation Package :
Hiring Salary Range : $68,337.00 $80,396.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $96,476.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate, Digital and Social Community.
