Are you a nurturing and responsible individual with a passion for childcare? Our family in Mississauga, Ontario is looking for a part-time, live-out nanny to care for our 3 children : 4 year old boy-girl twins hat are in JK, and our 10 year old daughter in grade 5.
We are offering a competitive rate of $20 per hour. Our ideal candidate would have experience working with young children, be reliable and trustworthy, and have a positive and patient demeanor.
The primary responsibilities of this role will include picking up the children from school (a 5 minute drive away or 15 minute walk) at 3 : 15pm.
Bringing them home, providing snacks (plenty to choose from our pantry and fridge), homework help (if applicable), playing, etc.
We have plenty of toys, a fenced backyard, and park right behind out house, so entertainment is easy. We do have a cat, she will be hiding somewhere and you will likely never see her as she is super timid.
The hours for this position will be part-time from approximately 3pm to 5pm approximately 3 days a week. Pick up time at the school is 3 : 15pm sharp.
Please note that my son has Epilepsy. He will need to be given some preventative medication when he gets home from school as well as his puffer for his asthma.
Generally he doesn't have seizure in the afternoons. Triggers for his seizures are overheating, not eating or drinking enough, or being sick.
Grnerally his seizures are under control but we have to be prepared always just in case. If he has a seizure, he will need his emergency medication followed by calling 911.
You would only have to put it in his mouth and call 911. This past year, he has had 5 seizures clusters : January 16, May 16, 24,28, and August 9.
January seizure was due to him missing medication. The may seizures were due to heat, the August seizure was due to his daycare not giving him breakfast or lunch.
All those seizures began around 1pm during his nap time at daycare. Should he ever nap after school, he would have to remain close to you to just keep an eye out for his breathing and any other odd behavior that could mean a seizure.
