Print Production Associate

Our client in the printing industry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Print Production Associate. This role involves working with advanced digital print equipment, managing customer requests, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of printed products. The position is based on-site, and candidates should be comfortable in a casual work environment with flexible dress code options, including jeans.

  • Work schedule : The candidate must be available to work the following shifts : 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm, 10 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, or 12 : 00 pm to 8 : 30 pm. Overtime may be required depending on business needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate digital print equipment, including Black & White and Colour Copiers / Printers like Nuvera 288’s and Iridiese Colour, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Utilize workflow tools such as Free Flow and / or Fiery to manage print jobs efficiently.
  • Operate standard finishing equipment, such as paper cutters, bindery, laminating machines, desktop folders, and drills.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for receiving customer requests, providing estimates, scheduling, and tracking print production jobs.
  • Perform quality inspections before, during, and after each production run to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage job tracking and storage for future reuse, and maintain accurate reporting logs for billing purposes.
  • Handle the packing, labeling, and shipping of finished products with care and precision.
  • Maintain appropriate supply inventory levels and troubleshoot basic production and delivery issues.
  • Set up and operate mail insertion equipment, resolving any issues that arise during operation.
  • Pay close attention to detail, ensuring the accurate balancing of files and the correct processing of different types of jobs.
  • Use standard manual pallet jacks and ensure the accurate totaling of data for the creation of CPC electronic statements of mailing.
  • Be prepared to stand for up to 80% of the workday and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technology training or experience is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a digital print shop and customer service environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technology training or experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and contribute to various aspects of the operation.
