Job description
Site Supervisor
The site Supervisor will have good planning, leadership and problem-solving skills. Responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site elements of projects including Health and Safety for the job site.
Responsibilities
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction drawings, specifications and schedules for the ICI industry and pre-engineered steel building systems.
- Supervising, scheduling and coordinating workers, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment as required ensuring the project is completed on schedule and budget.
- Liaise with project managers, designers, engineers, clients and governing authorities to achieve the scope of work.
- Ordering materials and supplies.
- Problem solve jobsite issues quickly and effectively in order to keep work on track and on time; manage and document job cost extras for review by the Project Manager.
- Follow fiscal policy set by Management.
- Conduct site meetings as required.
- Provide daily site and weekly safety reports; conduct safety talks.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all OSHA and Regulations and all applicable health & safety policies and procedures.
Experience / Requirements
- 4+ years' experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using power, manual equipment and measuring tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Safety training - Provide all safety certificates; Abcott Construction will arrange for any mandatory training if required.
