Site Supervisor

The site Supervisor will have good planning, leadership and problem-solving skills. Responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site elements of projects including Health and Safety for the job site.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction drawings, specifications and schedules for the ICI industry and pre-engineered steel building systems.
• Supervising, scheduling and coordinating workers, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment as required ensuring the project is completed on schedule and budget.
• Liaise with project managers, designers, engineers, clients and governing authorities to achieve the scope of work.
• Ordering materials and supplies.
• Problem solve jobsite issues quickly and effectively in order to keep work on track and on time; manage and document job cost extras for review by the Project Manager.
• Follow fiscal policy set by Management.
• Conduct site meetings as required.
• Provide daily site and weekly safety reports; conduct safety talks.
• Ensure work is done in compliance with all OSHA and Regulations and all applicable health & safety policies and procedures.

Experience / Requirements

• 4+ years' experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• Proficient in using power, manual equipment and measuring tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Safety training - Provide all safety certificates; Abcott Construction will arrange for any mandatory training if required.
