Mechanical Coordinator

The role of the Mechanical Commissioning Coordinator is the coordination of the mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.

Job Function :

• Management of site commissioning teams to prioritize commissioning;
• Liaising with Commissioning Manager to develop commissioning activities, ensuring deadlines are met;
• Responsible for gathering and maintaining all commissioning documentation to validate readiness for operation (equipment checkout sheets, PSSR punch lists, completion of critical start-up items, equipment data);
• Approval and sign-off of Turnover Completion Packages;
• Develop, prepare, and maintain an integrated commissioning schedule;
• Coordinate and manage the completion of the commissioning activities in accordance with the agreed upon strategy and schedule;
• Actively participate in Commissioning risk management processes. Ensure activities undertaken are appropriately risk managed;
• Assure that progress towards commissioning goals are monitored and adequately resourced to ensure team success;
• Assist in the development and verification of tag lists;
• Assure that the System Pre-commissioning and / or Commissioning Procedures are developed, approved, and finalized per the planning schedule and include the appropriate content and detail to assure safe and thorough execution;
• Assuring that the Commissioning execution plan includes the materials, special tools, and vendor support for a safe and efficient execution;
• Assuring that the commissioning staffing plan has the correct number of persons with the appropriate skills to execute the commissioning work;
• Development, tracking, and adjusting commissioning execution schedule;
• Lead the on-site pre-commissioning and / or commissioning activities, including resource management, schedule coordination, materials / tools / vendor support, system / equipment troubleshooting, and adjusting plan due to resource issues;
• Assisting in the development of commissioning spare parts listing and quantities.
