The Role

FloSports is looking to bring on a Canadian-based Content Creator for FloHockey who is dedicated to our mission of providing hockey fans the experience they deserve. The ideal candidate lives and breathes hockey (junior, college and professional ranks leading into the NHL), has professional or extensive personal content creation experience, and can bring innovative and impactful story ideas to life through written and video content with a heavy emphasis on social media. Candidates must be passionate about influencing within the hockey community, have a nose for compelling storylines, and understand how to grow their voice as an authority in these communities.

Responsibilities

• Create impactful and high-quality social media and web content, both written and video, from idea to publishing.
• Create compelling, platform-specific content that resonates with the target audience and maximizes engagement.
• Spotlight top athletes and personalities in your sport with interesting stories.
• Travel around the world to cover live events. Interview coaches and athletes, create engaging social content, and feature the biggest stories of each event.
• Collaborate with the team in content creation meetings to brainstorm strategies that grow and engage the community.
• Monitor fans and key figures in the sport to continually improve by eliciting and listening to feedback.
• Manage multiple content projects simultaneously and reliably.
• Stay on top of hockey news beneath the NHL to provide comprehensive coverage.
• Act as a social media influencer and help connect with other big social entities to promote content.
