OUR OPPORTUNITY

The First Nations Tax Commission is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in contributing to the growth of our education department.

The Learning and Development Coordinator manages all aspects of delivering the non-accredited programming for the education department.

This includes planning and implementing the non-accredited programs, as well as designing the content material in collaboration with subject-matter experts, as well as developing post event reports and any other project support or requests.

  • Manage all aspects of non-accredited education programming including workshops, from planning, setting timelines, determining resource needs, coordinating and compiling workshop materials, on site coordination, and post event reporting and follow-up.
  • Create and coordinate communication plans for workshops including digital marketing, website updates, internal updates and event messaging.
  • Assist with delivery of webinars and presentations for FNTC and the Tulo Centre of Indigenous Economics by providing technical or administrative support to all students, participants, instructors or presenters.
  • Coordinate workshop agenda and activities including speakers and speaker information.
  • Work with the Director of Education and other staff to develop and manage a calendar of non-accredited education programming.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts and speakers on the development and design of content and materials, and its distribution to audiences.
  • Format presentations, materials and other documents in accordance with brand guides and templates.
  • Incorporate evaluations and surveys into the planning cycle for the purposes of continuous improvement.
  • Review workshops and feedback and implement recommendations for improvement.
  • Compile and retain workshop materials.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in a related discipline such as communications, administration, training or adult education or equivalent education.
  • 3-5 years of project or training management or education organization experience including managing complex events.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering events in a First Nation environment would be considered an asset.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and duties.
  • Instructional Design, project management or records management skillsets would be assets.
