EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Dental Hygiene.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
▶Eligibility for registration in a province or territory of Canada with no current license suspensions in other jurisdictions.
▶Current certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) “C” for Health Care Providers

EXPERIENCE
▶ E1 –Experience using an electronic patient record and scheduler
▶ E2 – Experience providing local anesthetic
▶ E3 – Experience exposing patients to ionizing radiation and interpreting radiographs
▶ E4 – Experience using Microsoft Office software
▶ E5 – Deliver efficient scaling and root planning resulting in treating multiple patients per working day
▶ E6 –Experience in a mixed public service and military environment

Conditions of employment

▶ Continuous registration, in good standing, with the provincial regulatory body responsible for regulating the profession of dental hygiene in which employment is maintained.
▶ Current certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) “C” for Health Care Providers
▶ Full-time on-site work is required.
▶ Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.

Candidates must meet and maintain the above noted conditions of employment throughout their employment.
