Employment Type : Contract / Temporary with Temp-to-Permanent Opportunity

Project Duration : 2-year construction phase + 10-20 years operational
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Millwrights for a major mining construction project in western Nunavut. This is an exceptional long‑term opportunity offering both temporary assignments and potential permanent placement with our client. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment in mining operations
- Perform mechanical installations including conveyors, crushers, mills, and processing equipment
- Align and balance rotating equipment using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Collaborate with other trades on construction and maintenance projects
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and mining regulations
Required Qualifications
Journeyman Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred)Alberta-based candidates strongly preferredMinimum 3-5 years industrial millwright experienceMining or heavy industrial experience preferredValid driver's license and clean driving abstractAbility to work in remote camp environmentsPhysical fitness for demanding work conditionsStrong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skillsPreferred Qualifications
Previous mining industry experienceExperience with large‑scale industrial equipmentWelding certifications (advantage)Additional safety certifications (H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, etc.)Experience with precision alignment tools and techniquesSafety Requirements
