The Opportunity :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our client's accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced accounting duties, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and excellent analytical abilities.

What You Will Be Doing :

Journal Entries and Reconciliations : Post and review journal entries, perform complex account reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Financial Analysis and Reporting : Prepare financial reports with variance analyses for management and collaborate with external auditors during reviews and audits.
General Ledger Maintenance : Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, manage the chart of accounts, and coordinate accounting system updates.
Compliance and Leadership : Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies, evaluate internal controls, and provide mentorship to junior staff while overseeing their work.

What We Need From You :

5+ years of experience of transferrable accounting and reporting experience

Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferable

Strong Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables

Knowledge of IFRS is an asset

CPA designation preferred

Familiarity with SAP is considered an asset

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
