As the Junior Investment Analyst, your primary responsibility will be maintaining service standards and providing analytical support to the Investments team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in St. John's, NL.Your key activities will include : Assist in the design and maintenance of investment manager monitoring systems and processesStay abreast of market conditions, economic developments, regulatory changes, investment options, risk management approaches, performance and security analysis, and other techniques and issues affecting the economic and investment decisions of the pension fundMaintain, update and validate investment-related systems, and develop reporting from these systems for internal and external stakeholdersAssist with investment research, recommendation memos, quarterly or annual investment reports and any other ad hoc reports requestedAssist the investment team with the production of quarterly investment performance reporting, compliance reporting, external communications and the annual audit process related to investmentsWhat you'll bring to the role : A post-secondary degree in finance, business administration, economics, commerce, or related fieldCompletion of, or progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation would be considered an assetStrong research, analytical and writing skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointSalary Range : $63,700 - $88,900Application Deadline : January 15th, 2025While only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted, we extend our appreciation to all applicants for your interest.
