Overview

The Warehouse & Lumberyard Assistant Manager is in charge of our delivery service, supports the Warehouse & Lumberyard Manager in daily operations, and handles some administrative tasks. The Warehouse & Lumberyard Assistant Manager directs a team of Order Pickers, Delivery Drivers, and Driver Helpers to ensure that our deliveries are done correctly and on time.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader and has experience managing / supervising others. Being comfortable with computers is important.

Responsibilities

• Delivery Scheduling & route planning
• Organizing truck maintenance & appointments
• Directs pickers, drivers, & strikers for safety, efficiency, and accuracy
• Help pick orders when necessary
• Create weekly staff schedules for the Yard / Warehouse / Delivery team using Payworks computer program
• Approve daily timesheets
• Second in command of Warehouse & Lumberyard
• Step into Warehouse & Yard Manager role during weekly days off and vacations
• Direct staff to ensure effective operations and adherence to standard operating procedures
• Conduct department inspections on rotation with Warehouse & Yard Manager
• When deliveries are slow, direct team to help in other areas of the warehouse and yard

$25 per hour

Schedule

Week 1 : Monday‑Friday 7 : 00 AM‑4 : 00 PM

Week 2 : Weekdays 7 : 00‑4 : 00 with 1 day off & Saturday 8 AM‑5 PM
