We are presently accepting resumes for a Digital Solutions and Technology Specialist to work closely with the Manager Information Technology to design, develop and implement technology-based solutions to support organizational goals. This position is also responsible for the ongoing evolution and enhancement of the Agency's multi-platform communications infrastructure including internet, intranet, and social media. This role involves effectively identifying technology that grows the business internally and externally.

Compensation package :

  • Minimum starting rate of $ 37.86 per hour; $ 73,8 27 annualized
  • Opportunity to work remotely up to 60% of scheduled hours.
  • 11 statutory holidays are observed , with public holiday pay;

Following the successful completion of a 3 -month probationary period :

  • Minimum Requirements for this position include :

  • Proven successful completion of a degree or diploma with courses in technology, graphic design, computer science, web development, communications, marketing or related areas, or other related discipline or an acceptable equivalent diploma / degree program as determined by the employer ;
  • Minimum of 5 years recent full-time work experience working through design, development, and implementation of transformation initiatives, business development and fee for service. Established skills in developing and designing standards-compliant, accessible web sites is required ;
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies ;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in internet and marketing techniques, technologies, and solutions ;
  • Business acumen and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions ;
  • Proven project management skills .

  • Ability to deal with conflict using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Ability to analyse procedural and system problems and make effective recommendations.
  • Valid drivers' license and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.
  • Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) :

  • Working in collaboration with the Manager, Corporate Communications to ensure all communication platforms including social media, intranet and Agency website contribute to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion ;
  • Using internet, intranet, and social media to support the flow of timely communication related to key strategic initiatives which promote the Agency's mission, vision, and core values ;
  • Design and coordinate digital and print communication materials (i.e., brochures, fact sheets, infographics, etc.) as well as videos for use in Agency newsletter, annual report, fundraising events, recruitment efforts, community awareness campaigns, employee / volunteer recognition as required ;
  • Maintain digital solution for the organization, access, and archiving of communications materials, including photography, videos, graphics, logos, imagery, stories, quotes, testimonials. Provide digital communication recommendations, techniques, and tools to leadership teams ;
  • Lead the architecture of the Agency website focusing on promoting Empower Simcoe as the Agency of choice by showcasing our offerings ;
  • Lead the design and refresh of all social media platforms, external and internal website including research, layout, creation and modify appearance, generate, and revise content ;
  • Identify and resolve functionality issues ;
  • Examine and analyse site traffic ;
  • Regulate and manage access rights of users and accounts ;
  • Test websites to ensure site is user friendly, links are working, and pictures appear properly ;
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the Agency's vision, mission and core values to promote programs and services provided ;
  • Develop and implement a maintenance plan to ensure the ongoing optimization and functionality of the Empower Simcoe website and oversee regular updates and improvements ;
  • In partnership with the Manager Information Technology and Digital Solutions develop a roadmap of IT and digital initiatives to support organization objectives and new growth opportunities ;
  • Conduct assessments of current business processes and identify areas where digital solutions can improve efficiency and effectiveness ;
  • Design digital solutions, including selecting appropriate software , platforms and functionalities considering business requirements, integration with other software, security etc ;
  • Manage the implementation of digital solutions, including project planning, resource allocation, stakeholder management, training of users etc ;
  • Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the organization ;
  • Monitor metrics to measure the success of implemented digital solutions ;
