GenAI Tech Lead

As a GenAI Tech Lead, you will be the technical anchor of your team. You’ll drive technical decisions, guide developers, ensure code and architectural quality, and partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and the Software Development Tech Leads to deliver meaningful outcomes. Your role is a hybrid of hands-on development and team enablement.

As a GenAI Tech Lead at Novisto, you’ll be the technical driver behind our GenAI initiatives.

Your mission: turn market-ready GenAI technologies into product-ready capabilities fast, we don’t reinvent the wheel, we execute quickly and effectively.

You’ll combine hands‑on development with technical leadership, and partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Development Tech Leads to shape, prototype, and ship impactful GenAI‑powered features. Together, you’ll ensure that every solution we build delivers real value to our users and aligns with Novisto’s product vision.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture, scientific, and system design discussions for GenAI features and internal tools.
• Build and deploy GenAI‑powered product features leveraging best‑in‑class market technologies.
• Stay on top of the evolving GenAI ecosystem and evaluate the right tools and models for Novisto.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure alignment with broader data, software and AI architecture.
• Maintain the right balance between experimentation and productization.

Delivery & Execution

• Contribute hands‑on to key codebases and prototypes.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and actionable tickets.
• Identify technical uncertainties and drive efficient technical feasibility studies and proofs of concept.
• Ensure high‑quality, reliable delivery through planning, code reviews and mentoring.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Tech Leads to ensure timely delivery.

Mentorship & Team Development

• Mentor GenAI developers and scientists; grow the next generation of technical talent.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, fast and continuous learning, and ownership.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to shape and deliver high‑impact solutions.
• Ensure compliance, ethics, and security are embedded into development and document these concepts for major stakeholders, clients, and prospects.

Quality & Process

• Champion best practices in GenAI applications development (experimentation, testing, observability, documentation).
• Lead maintenance and evolution of deployed GenAI models and services.
• Ensure balance between feature cost, latency, and accuracy.

Job Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML projects, including 2+ years in GenAI in a senior or lead role.
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science (or equivalent professional experience).
• Strong proficiency in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of at least one agentic development framework (Langgraph preferred).
• Bonus: Experience with sensitive client data and enterprise‑grade AI deployments.
• Experience with API development.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP, Azure), CI/CD, and MLOps practices.
• Leadership experience guiding teams through technical complexity.
• Comfortable in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
• Fluency in English and French.
