Khalsa Secondary School is seeking candidates for one Business / Accounting teacher position.Khalsa Secondary School is a Sikh faith based school located on 10589 124 Street. Academic teachers do not have to be observers of the faith. Teachers from all diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply! We have just completed our first year of MYP candidacy and are looking to seek our IB authorization in the fall of 2024. We are also an AP Level 2 school. We are a growing school with a lot of opportunities! Our teachers are supported, have their own classroom and have a prep in each semester.Currently, we have one Business / Accounting teacher opening for the new 2024-2025 school year starting August 29, 2024. • Only offered to CoQ teachers or teachers who have a completed application withthe Teacher Certification Branch (BC) for a teacher with a Certificate of Qualification (CoQ)
• Teaching experience in Canada is recognized for a possible higher startingsalary for CoQ teachers
• Duties :
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students understand the material- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment- Assess student progress and provide feedback- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
• Experience :
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field- BC teaching certification- Proven experience teaching Business / Accounting or related subjects (preferable)- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans and grading effectively- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues- Ability to tailor teaching methods for diverse learning styles
• Skills :
