Business Overview :

The Group Financial Security (GFS) department is within Group Compliance responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the Group’s effort to comply with and other international sanctions and embargoes. In performing this function, GFS may coordinate with other relevant functions within GFS responsible for risk assessments, monitoring systems and suspicious activity monitoring and reporting.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) team has responsibility for all GFS functions including the general administrative management, budget, project management, human resources, IT requirements, communications, reporting and operational permanent control. This role is part of the Projects & Business Intelligence (PBI) team within the larger COO team. The PBI team plays a crucial role in overseeing cross-functional projects for GFS sponsors while also coordinating and managing local initiatives within the broader financial security domain. They provide essential support for implementing, enhancing, automating systems and processes, as well as handling governance, business analytics, data management, and reporting requirements. Additionally, they hold responsibility for project management office duties across GFS. Furthermore, the team ensures a cohesive approach to internal IT development strategies and provides ongoing support for associated IT, data, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities :

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing a SharePoint strategy for the department as well as assisting in various SharePoint projects. The individual must have a sound knowledge of SharePoint and be capable of transitioning existing business processes into SharePoint solutions. This position will also assist with project facilitation on initiatives where GFS collaborates with Central IT teams and should be able to proactively coordinate with those teams and GFS stakeholders in a risk-aware manner that moves issues forward and contributes to the GFS data strategy. As the SharePoint Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the migration of the GFS Department's SharePoint environment to SharePoint Online and the Microsoft platform. Your expertise in both legacy SharePoint and modern SharePoint Online technologies will enable you to drive digital transformation initiatives, improve collaboration, and enhance productivity during this critical period.

  • Lead the migration of the department's SharePoint environment to SharePoint Online and the Microsoft suite of tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and central IT teams to develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan, aligned with the broader GFS technology strategy.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to end-users throughout the migration process, troubleshooting concerns and serving as the primary point of contact for SharePoint-related inquiries.
  • Analyze business processes and collaborate with teams to define and scope projects and enhancements, streamlining operations and maximizing the potential of SharePoint Online and Microsoft .
  • Design and develop custom SharePoint Online and Microsoft solutions, leveraging advanced features and integrations to meet unique business needs.
  • Facilitate communication between end-users and technology teams, ensuring adherence to the GFS-US technology strategy and promoting user adoption of SharePoint Online and Microsoft .
  • Create comprehensive documentation and training materials to educate users on SharePoint Online and Microsoft features, best practices, and governance models.
  • Maintain appropriate data security standards while simplifying permissions and access controls across the SharePoint Online and Microsoft environments.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and optimization of the department's SharePoint environment until the migration is complete.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of SharePoint , SharePoint Designer, and workflow implementation.
  • Extensive experience with SharePoint Online and the Microsoft platform, encompassing Teams, OneDrive, Planner, Forms, Stream, and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading SharePoint migrations and projects through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and end-users.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and / or AJAX, along with CAML / search queries, REST API, and SharePoint Framework.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer systems, Information Technology, or a related field; technical certifications in SharePoint and Microsoft are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time management, prioritization, and multitasking, with the ability to balance competing demands effectively.
  • A growth mindset, coupled with a willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Excellent decision-making abilities and attention to detail, with the discernment to escalate complex matters when necessary.
  • Knowledge of Client’s Group activities and organization, particularly within the context of compliance and financial security.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as banking or finance, with a keen understanding of regulatory requirements and their implications for information management and technology solutions.
  • Provide day-to-day end user support and guidance.
  • Troubleshoot concerns and serve as the POC in differentiating functional from technical issues. Escalate technical questions with core SharePoint team and ensure timely issue remediation.
  • Develop documentation and trainings to promote user adoption and best practices; work with teams to simplify permissions while maintaining appropriate data security standards.
  • Analyze business processes and work with teams to define and scope projects and enhancements.
  • Participate in and / or lead design and development of solutions to streamline business processes and functions and advise on best practices of existing SharePoint environment.
  • Work with Central IT SharePoint teams on key SharePoint projects, facilitating communication between the end users and the technology teams ensuring adherence to the GFS technology strategy.
