Position Information Job Title Term Certain Instructor, Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA) Appointment Type Full-time Temporary Position Dates Aug 2024 to Jun 2025 Hours per week/FTE 35 About the Position Lethbridge College is recruiting for a 1.0 FTE Term Certain position within the Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA) program. The NESA Bachelor of Nursing program is seeking individuals who have a strong passion for nursing and quality nursing education. This is an ideal opportunity for practicing RNs to transition into a teaching position.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, innovative, and supportive participant within the nursing program and within the Centre for Health and Wellness at Lethbridge College.

Position Details

• Provides clinical teaching in adult medical/surgical nursing courses with possible deployment to lab and theory teaching if necessary.
• Supervises and mentors students in clinical or lab environments.
• Applies and evaluates effective teaching strategies.
• Encourages and fosters an environment of inquiry, valuing evidence-informed practice.
• Engages as a member of a faculty team in the development and implementation of course related or curricular initiatives.
• Participates in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or applied research activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Eligible for, or current registration with, the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Class 5 driver’s license – clinical commute required.
