Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This position offers the flexibility of working from home and in office in Burnaby, British Columbia. As a key member of the accounts payable team, you will handle a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient processing of invoices, expenses, and payments.

Responsibilities :

• Process and manage a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
• Handle credit card transactions and reconcile monthly statements.
• Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including data entry, coding, approvals, and cheque runs.
• Utilize systems such as NetSuite, Concur, and Coupa to manage expenses and process payments.
• Support expense management processes using Concur to ensure timely reimbursements.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain accurate records and streamline accounts payable workflows.
• Assist in transitioning towards automation for accounts payable processes.
• Conduct Excel-based reconciliations using tools like pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards during payment processing.
• Provide general support to the accounts payable team as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Concur, and Coupa.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Familiarity with full-cycle accounts payable processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing high volumes of transactions.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
