Farm Equipment Operator Trainee

About the Role

Our Equipment Operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the tractor, dragline and pump equipment, ensuring that the biosolids application process runs smoothly. As a Farm Equipment Operator, you will :

• Run and maintain a dragline pump.
• Operate tractors and utilize a dragline system to apply biosolids on agricultural fields.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on all field‑related equipment (greasing, oil changes, fluid top‑ups).
• Ensure that work is done in a safe and efficient manner on spread sites.
• Use GPS and iPad technology to spread evenly and consistently throughout the field.
• Assist the field operations team in site set up, tear down, and cleanup.
• Understand the Nutrient Management Act and MOE guidelines and procedures as it relates to application of biosolids.
• Be willing to participate in projects in other Wessuc divisions.
