Intermediate Backend (Java / JavaScript) Developer to develop API's and backend service development for a Cloud Acceleration Project with one of our major banking clients-
Location Address : Hybrid - Toronto 1 / week (Wednesdays) preferably in GTA
Contract Duration : 6 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)
Schedule Hours : 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs / week

- Business group : Cloud Enablement platform organization for API services for the Bank
- Project : Cloud Acceleration Program migration from Apigee Edge to Apigee X.
Must Have Skills :
- 8+ years of experience as a developer
- 4+ years’ experience with Java / JavaScript
- 3+ years’ experience with API development and back-end service side development
- 3+ years’ experience building and deploying CI / CD pipelines for cloud workloads using tools like Jenkins, GitHub actions etc.
- 1-2+ years’ experience with cloud architecture, components, and implementation use cases, preferably on GCP
Nice-To-Have Skills :
- Experience with Enterprise Integration / Middleware Solutions
- Experience with Security, Access Controls (IAM / OAuth / SAML etc.), Network level controls (SSL, TLS etc.), Error handling
- GCP experience an asset
Typical Day in Role :
- Performs technical analysis, design, build and deployment of highly complex / scalable API Platform.
- Establish and manage CI / CD pipelines for Apigee Proxy deployments and testing.
- Develop, support, and troubleshoot proxy flows, templates, and security features.
- Facilitate automations in migrating Apigee Edge deployments to Apigee X.
- Collaborate with vendors, internal and external teams to accomplish project success.
Back-end role

Education :
- Bachelors in technical field
- Any API products certifications an asset
- Cloud certifications an asset
