We are looking for a talented Customer Care Technician to join our team. The primary purpose of the role is to support the Customer Care Team in their day-to-day operations, through interactions with homeowner’s, management, trades, and employees.

The Service Technician position is best suited to a detail-oriented, organized individual who is passionate about Customer Service Excellence.

Someone who possesses a self-motivating attitude and who enjoys working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Roles and Responsibilities :

The Service Technician will be responsible for activities such as, but not limited to :

  • Work with the Warranty Director, Manager, homeowner’s, and trades
  • Provide fair, timely, quality, and consistent service to homeowners
  • Follow-up on homeowner concerns and inquiries by providing prompt accurate responses within 1 business day
  • Maintain Marlin Spring brand by providing the highest level of workmanship.
  • Review and complete deficiencies identified by the Customer Care team for PDI, 30-Day, Year-End & 2-Year, ensuring all warranted items are addressed prior to the deadlines set by Tarion
  • Conduct in-person assessments during the warranty period for warranty requests and determine if items are warrantable
  • Attend site meetings as needed as well as participate in any other coordination of project meetings as required
  • Maintain positive homeowner relationships by providing homeowners with knowledgeable, timely and professional service
  • Complete approved warranty service requests, deficiencies such as, drywall repairs, painting, minor floor repairs, mullion repairs-scratches, dents, paint scuffs.

Plumbing repairs, leak repairs and perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Outstanding customer service skills, anticipating and responding to the needs of our homeowner’s
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Works well in Team environments
  • Knowledge of the Construction Performance Guidelines

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in new home construction
  • Strong Knowledge of the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act and Condominium Act to address warrantable deficiencies
  • Knowledge of Ontario Building Codes and construction contracts
  • Must have a valid G class driver’s license
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to provide courteous, reliable support and high-quality customer service to employees, trades and homeowners
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines; time management skills; and office management skills
  • MS Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
