Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Data Integration Lead (hybrid) in our Head Office in Surrey, BC .
Expected Compensation : The expected hiring range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

As a Data Integration Lead , you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing data integration processes to ensure seamless flow of information across various systems and platforms within Westland.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop integration strategies, and execute integration solutions that drive business value and enhance operational efficiency.

Why we’ll love You :
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- You have over 10 years of proven experience in data integration, ETL, and data warehousing technologies.
- You possess strong proficiency in SQL and other programming languages for data manipulation and scripting.
- You have extensive knowledge of data integration tools like Microsoft, Informatica, Talend, or Oracle.
- You have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and are familiar with cloud-based data integration services.
- Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are matched by a keen attention to detail.
- You excel in interpersonal and communication skills, effectively collaborating across teams and influencing stakeholders.
- You have demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and coach team members.
- You understand data governance principles, data management practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- You hold certifications in relevant data integration technologies or platforms.
- You bring experience working in Agile development environments.
- You are familiar with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- You have knowledge of big data technologies like Snowflake, Tableau, or Hadoop.
- You have experience with real-time data integration and streaming analytics.
Once here, you'll :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data integration objectives and develop strategic plans aligned with business goals.
- Design robust data integration architectures and solutions that support scalability, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of data integration solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Define data mapping and transformation rules to ensure accurate and consistent data integration across systems.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain data integrity and reliability.
- Monitor and optimize data integration processes to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance overall system performance.
- Create comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, standards, and best practices. Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with data management policies and regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of data integration developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment to promote skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to understand requirements, resolve issues, and effectively communicate project status and updates.
