Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal or legal assistant to join our Legal Department at our headquarters in Vaudreuil. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work within the specialized transportation industry, supporting complex regulatory compliance, contract management, and litigation matters that are critical to our operations.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring legal compliance across our transportation operations while supporting our legal team in managing contract review and negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and modify legal correspondence, legal templates, compliance reports, and regulatory filingsReview, analyze, and summarize commercial transportation agreementsCoordinate contract amendments and supplemental agreementsMaintain contract and databases and ensure proper document retentionProcess and manage insurance claims, accident & incident reports, and liability mattersCoordinate with insurance carriers, adjusters, and external counselCoordinate legal department calendars, meetings, and court appearancesProcess invoices from external counsel and service providersProvide administrative support to the corporate lawyersQualifications & Requirements
Education and Certification
Diploma or Certificate in Paralegal Technology from an accredited institutionOR bachelor’s degree in legal studies, Business, or related field
Experience
Minimum 3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experienceExperience in transportation, logistics considered an asset but not mandatoryTechnical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Familiarity with Document ManagementProficiency in digital filing systems and electronic document productionFamiliarity with using Artificial Intelligence tools to enhance productivityLanguage Requirements
