Job description

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Production Engineering Coordinator, the production engineering intern is part of the Engineering department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. She / He will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • There are two primary tasks for the Engineering Intern.
  • The first task in this position is fulfilling the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) duties for Drill and Blast by :
  • Performing QA / QC on the drill and blast patterns in the field (henceforth referred to as QA / QC) for drilling and loading
  • Collecting and compiling QA / QC data
  • Communicating QA / QC data to the Engineering team

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field;
  • Mining experience is an asset;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken;
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills
  • Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

    YourWorkSchedule :

  • Schedule : 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
