Carecor is looking for dedicated Unit Clerks to join our amazing team working in hospitals serving the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area.

Join our medical administration team and make a direct impact on the delivery of safe, exceptional patient care. Our shifts place you in a variety of work environments such as hospital in-patient care units, outpatient clinics, hospital-based physicians’ offices, and administrative departments.
For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift.

Job Qualification
Our exemplary standing with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve
- Must have grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Training in STAR registration (Patient Processing System) and other Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) programs i.e. Admitting-Discharging-Transferring, diet ordering, medical record processing, booking / registration, paging
- One (1) year related business / clerical experience
- Must have an interest working in an acute care hospital setting
- Current CPR Level A
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV)
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination.
If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
