Job Summary
The Team
The Strategic Building Technology Services (SBTS) is part of the Workplace Development Services branch of the Real Property Division. This established team of Building Technology Advisors (BTAs) brings expertise in architecture, mechanical and electrical engineering, energy systems, and physical security systems. They play a critical role in shaping government building standards, policies, and programs while ensuring the best value for the taxpayer. The team's work makes a tangible impact, offering expert advice and quality assurance on major projects across the Province's real estate portfolio.
The Role
As a Building Technology Advisor (Electrical) you'll play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable, high-performing building solutions. You will provide strategic technical advice on electrical systems for projects of all scales, from new builds to maintenance initiatives, ensuring compliance with evolving policies, legislative requirements, and environmental goals. With a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), you'll work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions that serve both organizational and client needs, while making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

About this Position :
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
The position headquarters will be Victoria, Surrey, Richmond, Vancouver or Prince George.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
