Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Display Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced display product architectures for avionics and military applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system architecture and engineering, with extensive experience in electronics, optics, and / or mechanics. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex systems throughout their lifecycle and support business development efforts. Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the definition and design of display product architecture for avionics and military applications.
  • Define and manage specifications for display systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technology partners.
  • Perform comprehensive engineering analysis in electronics, optics, and mechanics.
  • Define and implement environmental qualification plans.
  • Support the business development team with technical presentations and concept development.
  • Research and monitor emerging display technologies and trends in the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Ensure the integration and management of complex systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and system architecture.
  • Focus on the scalability, maintainability, and performance of the system’s architecture.
  • Engage in technical planning, risk management, and decision analysis.

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, preferably in avionics and / or military with knowledge of video management.
  • Proficiency in defining and designing complex system architectures and the ability to perform hardware and firmware designs.
  • Ability to perform detailed engineering analysis and simulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computing skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
  • Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to manage customer interfaces and support business development.
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Must be eligible for EAR / ITAR clearance.
  • Assets :

  • Familiar with Avionics & Military related specifications / standards such as DO-254, DO-178.
  • Experience in Display product and LCD design notions (optics)
  • Familiarity with environmental qualification testing.
  • Experience in electronics (VHDL code, board schematic and layout)
