We excel at providing a robust, reliable, and scalable solution with industry-leading development and deployment time.Job DescriptionThe Mechatronics Technician will focus on playing a key role in the development, design, build, testing and troubleshooting of our state-of-the art sensing systems for the robotics field. You will collaborate with the mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineering teams to bring our sensing systems to the forefront of robotics! ResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble advanced electro-mechanical systems by following detailed specifications, using soldering techniques to assemble small components on PCBAs, and applying potting methods to protect electronic componentsPerform thorough testing of assembled systems to identify and resolve defects, maintain detailed records of assembly processes and quality control measures, and contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to proceduresWork closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Engineering Team to ensure timely task completion, assist team members to meet production goals, and actively foster a cooperative and efficient work environmentWork with current and future contact manufacturers to write and improve work instructions to improve workflow and process efficiencyFollow all safety protocols to maintain a secure workspace, and stay current with advancements in mechatronics engineering and manufacturing techniques to enhance personal skills and team capabilitiesQualificationsPost-secondary college diploma or university degree in Electrical / Electronic or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technician, mechatronics, robotics, or force sensing roleSkilled in handling delicate components with care and precision, and comfortable using fine tools, including working under a microscope or other magnification equipmentProven skills in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting small electrical assemblies and / or automation equipmentHands-on experience in soldering, working with micro-scale electronic components, and using calibration and testing tools like force testers, oscilloscopes, and multimetersCompetence in analyzing and troubleshooting data for accuracy, reliability, and compliance with design specificationsAbility to interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and system documentation related to electro-mechanical assembliesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams as well as independently in a manufacturing environmentWhy ForceN?Comprehensive medical, vision and dental benefits packageAdditional bonus and options compensationOpportunities for professional development and growthCollaborative and innovative work environmentHybrid work environment, open-concept hardware start-up environment - Dog-friendly office located in TorontoCulture outings with company sponsored events (intramurals, food expeditions, swag)
