POSITION SUMMARY
Bayshore ICS NRIO is currently seeking a Manager of Clinical Practice! The Manager of Clinical Practice addresses the clinical needs of the NRIO Mississauga and Hamilton Rehabilitation Programs, which includes delegating to/supervising the Program Managers of these sites and providing direct support to clients as needed. The Manager of Clinical Practice also works collaboratively with the Senior Manager and Clinical Director, under the direction of the Director toward achieving clinical excellence in client care within all NRIO programs across the GTA, focusing on health and safety, medication management; clinical training and supervision of field staff; and client intake, care plans, and discharge processes.
Job Qualification
Education
• Current license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Maintain Continuing Education Requirements (CEUs) as mandated by the CNO
• Canadian Certification in Occupational Health (COHN-C) preferred
• Joint-Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) certification preferred
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in health care, preferably home health care & hospital
• 5+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in a supervisory or leadership role
• Experience serving on a JHSC committee as co-chair
Skills & Abilities
• Strong initiative, organization, and oral / written communication
• Technologically proficient
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Ability to travel between locations; maintain a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and insurance

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Care & Clinical Oversight
• Support pre-admission processes including intake planning, client assessments and planning for equipment/pharmacy coordination, and staff training
• Provide direct nursing support / nursing rounds for all programs, as needed
• Participate in case conferences, and contribute to client-centered care plans; initiate updates to plans as needed
• Provide clinical expertise within scope of practice and ensure services align with best practices and regulatory protocols
• Demonstrate cultural humility and integrate trauma-informed, person-centered approaches in client care
• Participate in client discharge planning
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of Standards of Practice set by the provincial regulating body
• Provide direct/floor hours for client care as needed
• Conduct medication reconciliation during client intake and discharge
• Review medication administration record monthly and in the event of medication changes
• Ensure compliance with medication administration policies and procedures
Employee Management & Development
• Provide clinical supervision/direction to the NRIO Mississauga and Hamilton Program Managers; conduct annual performance evaluations and initiate disciplinary actions as required
• Participate in performance evaluations of field staff and professional reviews of consultants as requested by the Senior Manager and/or Clinical Director
• Ensure staff have necessary tools, licenses, and competencies
• Ensure compliance with legislative standards and company policies
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate training and education programs for staff, including controlled acts transfer of authority (TOA), and virtual modules; support maintenance of accurate records
• Lead implementation of Modified Work Programs
Operations & Quality Assurance
• Represent Bayshore in community events and healthcare/business committees
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aligned with the Quality Management System
• Participate in audits and review client documentation
• Ensure compliance with Public Health, Ministry of Health, and Bayshore policies
• Serve in the on-call manager rotation
• Conduct final quality assurance review of all NRIO reports
Health & Safety
• Serve as Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) co-chair
• Promote safe work environments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Participate in proactive safety activities; monitor injury prevention protocols
• Report risks and complete accident documentation within 24 hours for injured staff
• Work safely at all times according to Bayshore standards
• Support with infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols
• Ensure appropriate equipment maintenance and supply inventories
• Participate in audits and inspections, incident reporting (RL6), and action plans
• Lead emergency preparedness and risk planning protocols and initiatives
Professional Conduct & Development
• Participate in internal and external continuing education; share knowledge with staff
• Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information; uphold privacy and cybersecurity safeguards
• Facilitate effective communication strategies to support quality care and positive relationships
• Communicate relevant practice issues and adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
• Complete other tasks as requested.
