Our expectations

This role will be responsible for coordination and accurate execution of Rona Pricing Strategy for each business categories. The Base Pricing Analyst is required to understand market dynamics with regard to Pricing, identify Pricing opportunities, and provide sound Pricing recommendations. This role will partner with several teams across the organization including Merchandising, Finance and Operations.

Your role

  • Leveraging available Pricing Analytics, Reporting and Tools, the Base Pricing Analyst is responsible for understanding market dynamics, identifying pricing opportunities, and providing pricing recommendations.
  • Liaise with the Merchandising team to align Category Pricing with the defined Pricing Strategy, providing advice and financial recommendations while identifying risks and opportunities concerning pricing.
  • Analyze market price fluctuations and propose recommendations to maintain a competitive pricing position in the market.
  • Act as a business partner with Merchandising teams while being a facilitator with the FP&A Finance support team.
  • Increase awareness and discussion of Pricing and Pricing Strategy throughout the organization.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing.
  • Retail experience (an asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Action-oriented and timely decision-making; ability to quickly turn around and manage multiple priorities.
  • High Proficiency in Excel, Access, and related Microsoft software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advanced business reporting and ability to draw sound business conclusions from disparate data.
  • Proactive attitude with regard to gathering and verifying business and financial information.
  • Autonomy and ability to set priorities and achieve goals.
