POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Production Engineering department, the Junior Designer will be responsible for the completion of design tasks, Bill of Material releases and projects from concept to implementation in production. This will include all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings, and bill of material.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Completes design tasks and project assignments which support production activities.
- Coordinates tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times.
- Create designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contract documents and ensure designs are within manufacturing abilities.
- Ensures compliance with design criteria and regulations.
- Complete or initiates-controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit.
- Completes technical drawings and release documents in accordance with engineering procedures and ENAs (Notice of Action).
- Provides engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as required.
- Interact with vendors and customers on design related issues.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
College graduate in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.1 - 5 years' experience.Manufacturing & Assembly an asset.Strong knowledge of CAD / Unigraphics and Drafting.Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong teamwork, problem solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently.WHY JOIN OUR TEAM :
