Job Description: The duties include intake for new referrals and consulting with the Supervisor; performing home and infant evaluations/screens through observation, administration, scoring and interpretation of the necessary developmental tests; developing and implementing individual plans for clients; working with families and educating them in early home based intervention strategies; assisting families in understanding their child’s abilities, needs, behaviours and planning for their child’s future needs.
Required Qualifications: A four‑year degree in a related discipline (e.g., Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy) with an emphasis on child development and assessment or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills: Ability to relate to clients with diverse backgrounds; assume professional responsibility and keep Supervisor informed; prepare clear and concise written reports; good communication skills; facilitate training modules on parenting skills and child management programs; operate a computer and various software programs; willing to travel and use a car; fluent in French.
