Initial Term : ASAP for approximately 12 months.
Compensation : $37 per hour.
Regular Work Hours : FULL TIME HOURS; 7.25 hours per day not including 1 hour unpaid lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location : 100% onsite at client's North York office, with free parking provided.
Position Reports To : Communications Manager.
Responsibilities Summary :
As part of corporate communications team, will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop reports and other publications for the general public.
- Develop, draft and edit reports, publications and key messages that align with operational processes and legislative requirements.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to gather necessary information to draft and edit reports and other materials, ensuring consistency in tone and style.
- Manage revision process for reports and publications, including seeking approvals at various levels.
- Collaborate with Communications division to ensure messaging is clear and consistent across all public-facing channels.
- Lead and report on the development and implementation of projects.
- Represent the team on committees and working groups.
- Additional corporate communications responsibilities as required.
Qualifications :
Education : Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Corporate Communications, Business Administration or related discipline.
Preferred Work Experience : At least 5+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Communications and Business Administration.
Preferred Sector Experience : Public sector, government or community services organization corporate communications experience an asset.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements :
- Advanced proficiency in MSOffice including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams (will be tested).
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail (will be tested).
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat or similar applications (may be tested).
- Superior English writing, editing and research skills to synthesize complex or technical content into plain language (writing samples or writing exercise may be requested).
- Overall expert level English communication skills, including advanced level business writing skills, excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax, polished, professional telephone manners, and verbal presentation skills suitable for a diverse range of audiences including the general public and senior leadership.

- Experience creating content for public-facing channels to deliver clear and consistent messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders to gather information necessary to develop and edit reports and other materials, ensuring that content is cohesive and consistent in tone and style.

- Ability to work 100% onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.

- Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
