Job description

At the heart of building mechanics projects youll work with our metropolitan area team on a variety of projects in the commercial residential industrial institutional and hospital sectors. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and to be part of a team of engineers technicians and draftsmen working on stimulating projects. Youll also be part of a passionate team where initiative and trust are strongly encouraged.

We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement combining telecommuting and office work. If you have a bachelors degree in building services engineering with at least 5 years experience and are a member of the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec wed love to hear from you!

Main responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the design and development of plans and specifications for building mechanical systems (ventilation air conditioning plumbing heating and cooling).
  • Determine construction costs and quantities
  • Conduct surveys and studies write technical reports
  • Participate in the resolution of technical problems
  • Write progress reports and contribute to the development of action plans
  • Act as a resource person for the team
  • Prepare and monitor fee budgets and make recommendations
  • Participate in partial supervision of work
  • Attend customer meetings.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical building engineering
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Member of the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ)
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle (an asset)
  • ASP Construction card.
