About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Manager, People & Culture to join Townline’s team in Vancouver, BC (Marine Gateway). Reporting directly to the VP, People & Culture, this role is instrumental in optimizing HR operations, fostering a collaborative workplace culture, and supporting 260 employees throughout the full employee lifecycle.

Please note this is an in-office position.

As Manager, People & Culture, you’ll have the opportunity to lead key initiatives in payroll management, HRIS optimization, recruitment, compliance, and employee engagement - all while making a meaningful impact on the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant processes.
  • Manage and verify bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Maintain and optimize the HRIS, ensuring accurate data and streamlined workflows.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts, creating a welcoming and effective experience for new hires.
  • Support employee relations, providing guidance on workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Champion initiatives that foster collaboration, inclusion, and employee satisfaction across the organization.

What Townline Is Looking For

  • Experience : 5+ years in HR, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Education : A degree in a related field and CPHR designation (PCP certification is an asset).
  • Expertise : Proficiency in payroll, HRIS management, recruitment, and compliance.
  • Skills : Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office.
  • Attributes : A proactive mindset and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
