Controller

Based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, our client is a well-established and leading insurance brokerage with over 20 years in the industry. They are currently looking to add an experienced Controller to their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience.

About the Position

Reporting to the owner, the controller will be responsible for, but not limited to :

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
• Supervise daily accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, revenue recognition, and cash flow analysis.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide updated financial projections to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare required documentation, and facilitate an efficient audit process.
• Analyze financial metrics, KPIs, and revenue reports to ensure accuracy and provide performance insights.
• Oversee IT systems, HR, strategic initiatives, and property management functions.
• Support ad hoc projects as needed.
