Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Engineering the ILS is primarily responsible for working with customers to provide technical data packages to support various contracts. This role is based in-office, on-site at our Bedford, NS location. The successful candidate will work with engineering to support obsolescence management and ensure that our information remains up to date.
As the ILS, your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to)
- Ensure compliance with all project logistics requirements
- Ability to work with and on occasion lead a team of engineers and technicians to complete a project or projects
- Participates in preparing proposal inputs concerning ILS, product support and reliability areas
- Finalizes and / or generates requested task / man-hour estimates for review and approval
- Coordinates logistics support program activities in the areas of spares, technical data, field and in-house modification programs where requested
- Analyzes engineering change documentation to determine applicability and scope of effort on logistics support activities.
- Work with customers to provide technical data packages to support various contracts (including MTBF calculations, part life cycle management and test data records)
- Work with engineering to support obsolescence management
- Provides regular status and progress reporting to management
- Completion of assigned tasks on time and within technical requirements
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings as required
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
What you require to be successful in the role :
