Welder JOB POSTING KAY-SON Steel Fabricators Ltd.   KAY-SON is a proudly Canadian owned fabrication plant that has been in operation since 1965. Located in Coquitlam, BC, we are a supply only structural steel fabricator servicing both the Canadian and US markets. As a single source fabricator, we work closely with our customers to find innovative solutions to complex problems and deal with customer concerns promptly and efficiently. Integrity, trust, teamwork, innovation, and safety are at the core of our business.  Our team’s vast expertise and knowledge enable us to provide customers with the highest level of workmanship.   We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team!   Reporting to the Production Manager, the Welder will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, welding, and to ensure the plant is running smoothly, efficiently and safely.   Qualifications : -          Experience welding in a structural steel shop environment -          CWB Welder MCAW / FCAW -          Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment -          Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment -          Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines -          Interpret welding process specifications -          asset if proficient in CP welds and back gouging -          Determine weldability of materials -          Operate hoisting and lifting equipment -          CWB ticket an asset Competencies : -          Team player -          Good understanding of metal fabrication -          All position ticketed welder an asset -          Ability to operate cranes   KAY-SON offers a positive, team environment.  This position is a unionized position and offers competitive wages, benefits including union pension, dental / medical, extended health and life insurance.  Overtime available.    If this sounds like an exciting opportunity to you, apply online with your resume.  We thank all interested applicants, however only those shortlisted will be contacted.
