We are looking for a full-time Crane Technician to join our team in Sudbury, ON . Reporting to the Branch Manager, the crane technician performs inspections and testing on various hoists and cranes to ensure safety certification is in accordance with provincial and federal regulations. The Crane Technician also assists the sales team with quotes and makes recommendations for repair work.

Key Responsibilities
Performs inspections on various hoists and cranesDiagnoses equipment problems and estimates costs of equipment repairs, replacements, maintenance etc.Performs maintenance & trouble shooting on overhead electric cranes and their components and completes required repairsCompletes reports on inspected items neatly and accurately either by Cert Tracker or inspection sheets and submits to administration for processingMaintains paperwork and records of used inventory for billing and certification purposesPicks up and delivers products to customers as required in company truckAssists in the development of efficient and effective work methods that are consistent with the company’s policies and proceduresProvides input to customer quotesCompletes cycle counts of inventory on a periodic basis, as requiredPerforms general labour and / or maintenance workComplies with company quality and safety procedures for completing workFollows customer Safety and Quality rules when working at a customer’s siteMaintains company equipment used on a daily / weekly / monthly basisSome travel, possible work evenings and weekends as requiredQualifications
