Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Koch Fertilizer Plant in Brandon, Manitoba. In this role, you will integrate with the operating teams to progress toward site goals while providing financial structure, analysis, and applied economic principles to support sound decision-making.
This is an onsite position at our Brandon, Manitoba facility.

This position will require a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-driven individual to influence strategies, priorities, and behaviors across a diverse organization to achieve business goals. You will utilize your strategic thinking and people / relationship skills as you partner with Finance leadership to identify and analyze areas of opportunity or risk, present impactful financial analysis to leaders across the organization and collaborate with diverse team members to drive action.
Please note : the majority of core accounting responsibilities (AR / AP / Fixed Assets / GL) are executed and managed by our corporate headquarters in Wichita, KS.
What You Will Do
- Support the financial and site reliability analysis activities for the plant, partnering with accounting and finance resources in Wichita, KS to ensure key performance metrics reflect true site financial and operational performance. Challenge and evolve metrics and analysis to ensure that performance drivers, effectiveness of strategies, and business opportunities are highlighted.
- Via effective collaboration and communication, ensure financial accuracy and integrity across monthly close and statutory reporting obligations in partnership with Wichita accounting teams.
- Identify and / or anticipate areas of opportunity or risk in the business and proactively alert plant teams as they arise. Support investment and resource allocation decisions through economic thinking and modeling (DC, NPV, IRR, Payback, etc.).
- Adapt financial and business results presentations to facilitate discussions to quickly connect stakeholders to performance and future opportunities.
- Collaborate with diverse capabilities across the site to capture opportunities based on your analysis. Leveraging your influence and relationships to drive behaviors that accelerate achieving business goals.
- Provide input and recommendations for strategy development and process improvement by respectfully challenging historical practices.
- Proactively and concisely communicate with Finance leadership to align priorities and progress.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Minimum of 3 years understanding key accounting concepts, base financial controls, and business performance analysis.Experience with data analysis / visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau).The ability to operate independently with minimal structure, leveraging analysis work product and identified opportunities to drive day to day activities.Experience preparing and presenting financial materials to diverse audiences, with experience with the expectations decision makingLegally authorized to work in CanadaAbility to travel up to 10%, including overnight stays in the US.What Will Put You Ahead
