Junior Accountant – Permanent Opportunity

Our manufacturing client, a long-established and steadily growing company in Scarborough, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant. This hands-on role supports the finance team with full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and operational support. It’s ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in a collaborative, industrial environment.Key Responsibilities :

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts accurately and on time

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities and perform regular bank reconciliations

Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and financial reporting standards

Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits

Analyze financial data and present insights to support decision-making

Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and internal controls

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA designation or currently working toward it (preferred)

1+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a small to mid-sized business

Proficiency with accounting software

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability

Strong verbal and written communication skills
