Network Support Technician

Languages : English
Education : College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
Experience : 3 to less than 5 years
Location : On‑site only – remote work is not an option.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate access and use of computer networks
- Install web server hardware and software
- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, workstations and peripheral equipment
- Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
- Provide problem‑solving services to network users
- Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
- Perform routine network start‑up and shutdown and maintain control records
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
- Supervise technical staff
