POSITION SUMMARY :
The Zone Manager will partner and assist the Assistant Manager or General Manager in the operation of store(s) through leadership managing, training, coaching and mentoring fellow associates to deliver a first class customer service experience relative to service and in-store execution.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Demonstrated selling experience in a fast paced, service oriented retail setting; excellent understanding of the company standards, processes policies and practices
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach and mentor a team of sales associates on customer service and standards, processes policies and practices
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervisory guidance to a team and instill trust
- Supervisory work; significant interpersonal relationship skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Put the customer first at all times (internal and external)Be a best in first class service role model and champion by providing on the job training & guidance to sales associates consistent with company practices, including recognition of FCS monthly recognition for above and beyond serviceFoster and role model an excellent employee experience where quality & engagement are promoted through the storeCreate and maintain good working relationships with fellow associatesEnsure consistency of store associates' performance and deliverables through application of timely coaching & performance management practices (including appropriate progressive discipline where applicable), in consultation with the AM where appropriate. Be able to resolve complex customer service issues and escalate as requiredMaintain store appearance with respect to merchandising, housekeeping and maintenance standards consistent with visual merchandising guidelinesWhere required, be efficient and accurate with receiving, merchandising initiatives, product returns, POS, cash auditing and handling, etc.; identifying and addressing deficiencies with associates, management and LP as applicable in a timely mannerWhere required, completion of store schedules and store payroll processesFollow company policies and procedures and maintain a safe working environmentKey Holder (open and close store), where requiredEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or equivalency requiredMinimum one year of retail or customer service experience preferredAbility to work various shifts in a 7 / 365 team orientated environmentExcellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively using the English languageSelf-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneouslyAbility to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situationsProficiency required in reading, writing, and mathematicsAbility to pass the Federal Criminal History Records Check, Paradies Background Check, and the applicable Department of Transportation requirementsComputer work, heavy lifting (40 lbs.), long standing periods, climbing lifting, bending, nights or weekend work, based in a store or group of stores; early morning, evening and weekend work and holidaysComply in all respects with the provisions of the Standards of Business Conduct Policy
