Job description

Vice President of Finance Longbow Advantage is an end-to-end warehousing strategy company that leverages real-time data to manage people, processes, and warehouses through The Rebus® Platform, and WMS consulting services purpose-built to expand and enhance warehouse technologies.

We take a holistic approach to warehousing strategy, understanding that technology is only one piece in the solution process.

Our warehouse experts work with customers to understand challenges and goals, developing a recommendation that’s aligned to the customer’s business objectives and supply chain initiatives. What to expect The ideal candidate for Vice President of Finance will provide overall leadership for financial function. That person will also have experience in a similar position in a fast-paced company, and a demonstrated ability to manage priorities, be highly innovative and an efficient strategic problem solver.

Leading the finance, accounting and payroll team Overseeing the finance function for the Longbow Group (including but not limiting): Treasury, Financing, capital structure; FP&A Taxes Managing relationships with accounting firms for annual audits and all tax preparation and filings for the group.

Producing financial reporting for executive, auditors, lenders, investors, government agencies Keeping informed of regulatory and reporting requirements, and interacting with accounting, auditing, tax, governmental and other external stakeholders Defining and driving controls, policies and procedures designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and to foster a sense of financial discipline across the organization Helping the leadership team with financial plans to reduce costs and maximize revenu Participating in strategic planning, as well as providing insights to the leadership team for decisions that could affect financial risks Timely and accurate reporting to enable business decisions, anticipate and proactively address business and financial challenges.

Experience 5 to 7 years of progressive finance leadership experience.

Experience working in both US and Canadian financial and regulatory environments.

Exposure to companies of similar scale, ideally 100 to 150 employees.

Progressive experience in technology and supply chain and/or a similarly complex environment/sector Undergraduate degree in finance/economics with a CPA accounting designation Solid knowledge of the accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE) Good understanding of payroll and corporate taxes and regulations in Canada, the USA and in the UK Experience with an ERP (ideally Netsuite) and high proficient in Excel Experience in multi-companies, multi-currencies & multi-countries organization Experience in a fast-paced environment like start-ups Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in both French & English Outstanding at prioritizing and you are result driven You love technology, innovation & you are a team player Ability to handle data with high level of confidentiality You are open to thoughts and ideas which are different from your own You can be very hands-on if needed, but you are also good to coach, support and delegate Why Join Longbow?

Once you join our team, you will… • Faire partie d’une organisation dynamique et en croissance qui valorise l’initiative.

  • • Diriger l’équipe des finances, de la comptabilité et de la paie • Superviser la fonction financière du Groupe Longbow (incluant, sans s’y limiter) : • Trésorerie, financement, structure du capital ; • FP&A • Taxes • Gérer les relations avec les cabinets comptables pour les audits annuels et pour toute la préparation et soumission des déclarations fiscales du groupe.
  • • Produire les rapports financiers pour la direction, les auditeurs, les prêteurs, les investisseurs et les organismes gouvernementaux • Se tenir informé des exigences réglementaires et de conformité, et interagir avec les parties prenantes externes en comptabilité, audit, fiscalité, gouvernement, etc.
  • • Définir et mettre en œuvre les contrôles, politiques et procédures conçus pour atténuer les risques, améliorer la précision des résultats financiers déclarés et promouvoir une discipline financière au sein de l’organisation • Aider l’équipe de direction à élaborer des plans financiers visant à réduire les coûts et maximiser les revenus • Participer à la planification stratégique et fournir des informations essentielles à l’équipe de direction pour les décisions pouvant affecter les risques financiers • Assurer un reporting précis et ponctuel permettant des décisions d’affaires éclairées, anticiper et traiter de manière proactive les défis opérationnels et financiers Experience • 5 à 7 ans d’expérience progressive en leadership financier.
  • • Expérience dans les environnements financiers et réglementaires des États-Unis et du Canada.
  • • Expérience dans des entreprises de taille similaire, idéalement 100 à 150 employés.
